Restoration - Renovation Project: "The James", Newport News,
Virginia |
|
Scope of Work -
A
circa 1915 townhouse in Virginia involved repair work of original lath and horse
hair plaster walls, repairs and replacement of trim work, refinishing of
original pine floors, and the updating of the electrical and plumbing systems
and installation of a whole house music system. |
|
Design Concept -
To create a neutral backdrop that showed off the client's contemporary
decorative objects while also highlighting the beautiful architectural
details of the townhouse. This created a clean yet warm canvas for the
subtle elegance of this 1915 interior. The casual elegance was infused
with texture and splashes of color. The overall look is understated
elegance with an eclectic note of individuality.
